Open Singles Net
Open singles net was played in a double elimination format where the winner of each match proceeds to the next match while the loser falls into a loser's bracket. Once a player loses in the loser's bracket, they are out of the competition. Using this format, it is not only possible, but also likely that players will tie without ever having played each other. To eliminate ties of this sort, the total number of games won and lost were taken into account as well as the scores on each of these games.
While in the winner's bracket, competitors play a best two out of three games to 11 points. Once in the loser's bracket, competitors play only one game to 15 points.
